In a small town in Georgia, atheists will believe in Jesus for one day, but for just one day only according to Jeff P. Langley of Bibb City, GA.
“Well you know I think all of us atheists are just a little curious about this Jesus guy. I mean we have heard a lot of great things about him. So we figured, hey, why not see what it’s all about,” Jeff said.
“It would be great if we could get something out of it, but then again it would really screw up our whole belief system. That’s why we’ll only believe for one day,” said Jeff’s wife, Laura, a mother of 3.
Atheists from the great city of Bibb will actually try and pray on Sunday, February 12, 2017.
“Well I don’t really have a clue about how to do the prayer thing, but I figure with the economy like it is, it wouldn’t hurt to try and be a Christian for a day and see what I could get out of it—I have been unemployed for a while now and it would be great for Jesus to get me a job,” one man said.
There has been some backlash from this “Be a Christian for a Day!” movement as Atheists have become highly irritated with the growing number of Christians who have been praying for them and this day to be a success.
“Well I mean these Christians think they know it all and have it all together. I’m sick of it really. If Jesus wants to help me out, I want it to be because I asked, not because they asked for me,” said an atheist who wished to remain anonymous.
It remains to be seen what will happen on February 12, but everyone will be waiting to see just how things turn out for those who become “Christians for a Day!”
